The following instructions will guide you through the process of changing the wireless channel on your SmartRG SR400AC's 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless networks.

  1. Navigate to the modem's web interface. (http://192.168.1.1)
  2. Click on the WIFI link at the top.
  3. To change the channel for your 2.4Ghz Network, click on the 2.4Ghz Wireless link on the left side of the page.
  4. Under Radio Configuration:
    • Make sure Enabled is set to on (green).
    • Set Bandwidth Mode to HT20. (HT40 is highly susceptible to interference)
    • Set the Channel field to your desired Channel. (This should generally be 1, 6, or 11)
  5. Click Apply.
  6. To change the channel for your 5.0Ghz Network, click on the 5Ghz Wireless link on the left side of the page.
  7. Under Radio Configuration:
    • Make sure Enabled is set to on (green).
    • Set the Channel field to your desired Channel.
    • Bandwidth Mode can be set to VHT20, 40, or 80. Keep in mind, VHT20 is the slowest option but is the least susceptible to interference while VHT80 is the fastest option but most susceptible to interference.
  8. Click Apply.
