

Please Note: We recommend that you are directly connected from your computer to your modem during the setup
Routed Setup
- Navigate to the modem's interface. (http://192.168.1.1)
- NOTE: Default username and password are admin.
- Click on the Quick Setup tab, then Run Wizard.
- Click Next on the first page.
- Set your time zone to match your area, then click Next.
- NOTE: Ontario and Quebec are Eastern Standard Time.
- Choose PPPoE/PPPoA for routed setup, then click Next.
- NOTE: Since this is a modem/router combination, we should set it up in routed mode. If needing to put it in bridge mode, please follow the steps below.
- Enter your DSL username and password.
- Set the VPI/VCI to the appropriate settings for your region as indicated below
- ON/QC: 0 and 35
- AB/BC: 0 and 33
- Eastern Provinces: Set as directed by TekSavvy
- Enter the SSID you would like for the wireless, and change the Authentication Type so you can put a password on the wireless. Then click on Next.
- NOTE: It is recommended to use WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, the only requirement for the password is minimum 8 characters long.
- Click Next on the following page to finish the setup.
Bridged Setup
- Click on Interface Setup at the top.
- Click on Internet in the secondary menu.
- Set the VPI/VCI to the appropriate settings for your region as indicated below
- ON/QC: 0 and 35
- AB/BC: 0 and 33
- Eastern Provinces: Set as directed by TekSavvy.
- Change the Encapsulation to Bridge Mode, then click Save.
- Connect the modem to your router's Internet/WAN port and complete the PPPoE setup for your router.
