Please Note: We recommend that you are directly connected from your computer to your modem during the setup

 Routed Mode Setup

  1. Open a web browser and go to the address http://192.168.1.1.
  2. Enter the Admin username and password (These are both "admin" unless you've changed them).
  3. Click Advanced Setup, at the left.
  4. Remove any entries in the table by checking all of the checkboxes in the Remove column, and clicking the Remove button.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Ensure the VPI and VCI fields are set appropriately based on your region:
    • ON/QC: 0 and 35
    • AB/BC: 0 and 33
    • Eastern Provinces: Set as directed by TekSavvy
  7. Click Next.
  8. Choose PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), then click Next.
  9. Enter your DSL username and password.
  10. Ensure the Dial on demand (with idle timeout timer) check box is not checked.
  11. Ensure the Retry PPP password on authentication error is checked, then click Next.
  12. Ensure the Enable NAT and Enable Firewall check boxes are both checked, then click Next.
  13. Click Save.

 


Bridged Mode Setup

  1. Open a web browser and go to the address http://192.168.1.1
  2. Enter the Admin username and password (These are both "admin" unless you've changed them).
  3. Click Advanced Setup, at the left.
  4. Remove any entries in the table by checking all of the checkboxes in the Remove column, and clicking the Remove button.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Ensure the VPI and VCI fields are set appropriately based on your region:
    • ON/QC: 0 and 35
    • AB/BC: 0 and 33
    • Eastern Provinces: Set as directed by TekSavvy
  7. Click Next.
  8. Ensure the Enable Bridge Service check box is checked, then click Next.
  9. Click Save.
