Before placing an order to transfer service from Rogers to TekSavvy, you will need to know a few things:
- You will need to contact Rogers to advise them that you wish to cancel your Internet service and will be transferring to a Third Party Provider.
- The transfer order needs to be placed a minimum of 12 days away from your cancellation date. If this is missed, we will have to place the order as a new connection which requires a technician visit for the activation.
- You cannot transfer from another Third Party Provider over to TekSavvy. (Only directly from Rogers to TekSavvy).
Once you have your exact date of cancellation from Rogers, you are ready to place your transfer of service order. Select "yes" when you are asked "Do you currently have Cable Internet Service with Rogers?" on the order form. You will then be able to enter the date of cancellation you received from Rogers.
Note: As TekSavvy is a prepaid service provider, your order will be processed as soon as we have received payment. If your payment is not received in time, it could cause a delay in the transfer of service which could result in having the order treated as a new activation.
Once the order is processed, we will receive confirmation of the transfer from Rogers. We will then email you the confirmed transfer date. A technician visit is not required for a transfer of service.
*If you are planning on using the same modem that you were using with Rogers, please keep in mind that it will take 24 to 48 hours for the modem to be re-provisioned with us after the cancellation date.
