Experiencing Slow Speeds?

Does the speed of your Internet vary from time-to-time? Is it constantly slow or unsatisfying? If so, please perform the following steps to help resolve this problem:

  • Minimize the number of devices on your network (preferably turn off all but one computer) and shut down any programs which use large amounts of bandwidth (downloads/torrents/video streaming)
  • Perform a speedtest at speedtest.teksavvy.com. This will show you the actual performance of your connection.  
Were there results of the speedtest you just performed significantly slower than the speed you are paying for?

If no, you may simply have too many devices using too much bandwidth for your current speed. You may wish to consider a higher speed package to fulfill your requirements.
