TekTalk Setup

The following instructions will guide you through the physical setup of your TekSavvy supplied TekTalk ATA.

If you require assistance with this process please contact us via phone at 1-877-779-1575 or by clicking the Chat Now (BETA) button in the top left corner of the screen at any time.

Basic Setup: Modem -> ATA -> PC

The basic setup option is perfect if you only use a single stationary computer or if your modem also acts as a wireless router.

  1. Setup your modem so that it receives internet access. Skip this step if this is already complete.
  2. Connect an Ethernet cord from the ATA's WAN port to the LAN port on the back of your modem.
  3. Connect an Ethernet cord from your PC to the LAN port on the back of the ATA.
  4. Connect a phone handset to the PHONE1 port on the back of your ATA.

Your ATA should now provision itself and your service should be up and running within 5 minutes.

Advanced Setup: Modem -> ATA -> Router -> PC

The advanced setup option is perfect if you use a stand alone router to bring wireless internet access to your home.

Please Note: TekSavvy does not support third party routers. If you are unable to obtain internet access through your router you will need to contact your router manufacturer for support.

  1. Setup the modem so that it receives internet access. Skip this step if this is already complete.
  2. Connect an Ethernet cord from the ATA's WAN port to the LAN port on the back of the modem.
