Setup Your Email in Outlook 2013

The following instructions will guide you through setting up TekSavvy email in Outlook 2013.

  1. Open Outlook 2013.
  2. Click on File.
  3. Click on Add Account.
  4. Select Manual setup or additional server types.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select POP or IMAP.
    • POP by default will download your emails off of our server and store them on the device running Outlook. This is a good option if you only view your emails on a single device.
    • IMAP synchronizes your email client with our mail servers. This is a good option if you desire a consistent email viewing experience across multiple devices
  7. Click Next.
  8. Fill out the following fields:
    • Your Name
    • Email Address
    • Account Type (POP or IMAP)
    • Incoming Mail Server (mail.teksavvy.com)
    • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) (smtp.teksavvy.com OR out.teksavvy.com)
    • User Name (your full email address including @teksavvy.com)
    • Password
  9. Check Remember password.
  10. Leave Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) off.
  11. If you are using out.teksavvy.com for the outgoing mail server, perform the following steps:
    1. Click on More Settings...
    2. Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
    3. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
    4. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
    5. Click on the Advanced tab.
    6. Under Server Port Numbers set Outgoing server (SMTP) to 1025
    7. Click on OK.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Finish.
