    Introduction

    The CBN CD8000 is a stand-alone cable modem providing one ethernet connection.

    Hardware Specifications

    • DOCSIS 3.0 (32×8) and DOCSIS 3.1 (2×2)
    • Intel Puma 7 chipset
    • 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports
    • Bridge-only modem (No routed/wifi capabilities)
    • Power Adapter: 12V – 1.5A

    Web UI Address

    192.168.100.1

    Note: Attempting to navigate to the modems web interface (192.168.100.1) will result in a time-out because the Hitron CODA-45’s DHCP server is disabled by default. To open the web interface, we need to statically assign an IP address to the connecting device.

    • IP address:        192.168.100.10
    • Subnet Mask:       255.255.255.0
    • Default Gateway:   192.168.100.1

    Default User Credentials

    Username: cusadmin

    Password: MAC address, all capitals 

    How to Factory Reset

    Pressing the physical reset button on the back of the modem for at least 5 seconds will initiate a factory reset.

    How to obtain diagnostic details:

    1. Navigate to the user interface. (192.168.100.1)
    2. Enter the administrative username and password in the Username and Password fields, then click Continue.
    3. Click on the Modem tab.
    4. The power levels can be found under the Downstream Overview and Upstream Overview headers.
    5. Click on the Advanced
    6. Click on the Event Log tab.
    7. The cable modem logs can be found under the Description header.
