    The Hitron ARIA3629 is a stand-alone router that provides ethernet and wireless connectivity for FTTP services.

    Introduction

    The Hitron ARIA3629 is a stand-alone router that provides Ethernet and wireless connectivity for FTTP services.

    Hardware Specifications

    • Ethernet: 1×10 Gigabit LAN / 2×2.5 Gigabit LAN / 1×10 Gigabit WAN
    • Wireless:  Tri-band WiFi 7: 4×4×4 (6/5/2.4 GHz)
    • Power Adapter: 12V, 4.5A

    Web UI Address

    • 192.168.0.1

    Default User Credentials

    • Username: cusadmin
    • Password: Customer-generated upon initial sign-in to the hardware.

    Wireless Network Details

    • Username: Unique; Locate “Wifi Network” on the label located at the bottom of the modem for WiFi Username.
    • Password: Unique; Locate “Password” on the label located at the bottom of the modem for WiFi Key.

    Initial Set Up

    Setting Up the Hardware with the SFP ONT

    This is to be used when the ONT the technician provides resembles the following:

    1. Locate or identify the fibre optic cable. Make note that one side has a small rectangular key used to orient the cable in a later step.
    2. Insert the SFP Module into the back of the device into the SFP+ port. The module will only properly seat in one direction.
    3. Insert the fibre cable paying special attention to the orientation of the cable to the SFP Module.
    4. Connect the power adaptor cord to the back of the device and plug the other end of the adaptor into a power outlet.
    5. Connect any ethernet devices if applicable to the white LAN ports found on the back of the device.
    6. Your router will now initialize. When fully initialized the LED on the front of the device will glow white and remain steady. This can take up to 10 minutes.
    7. Connect to the default Wi-Fi network found on the bottom label of the device.
    8. Open a Web browser on your computer or smartphone.
      1. In the address field, enter 192.168.0.1 and hit enter.
      2. Follow the prompts to set your administrator password.

    Setting Up the Hardware with the Stand-Alone ONT

    This is to be used when the ONT the technician provides resembles the following:

    3. Connect an Ethernet cord from Ethernet port on the back of the ONT to the 10 Gbs WAN port on the back of the Hitron.
    4. Connect the power adaptor cord to the back of the ONT and plug the other end of the adaptor into a power outlet.
    5. Connect the power adaptor cord to the back of the Hitron and plug the other end of the adaptor into a power outlet.
    6. Connect any ethernet devices if applicable to the white LAN ports found on the back of the device.
    7. Your router will now initialize. When fully initialized the LED on the front of the device will glow white and remain steady. This can take up to 10 minutes.
    8. Connect to the default Wi-Fi network found on the bottom label of the device.
    9. Open a Web browser on your computer or smartphone.
      1. In the address field, enter 192.168.0.1 and hit enter.
      2. Follow the prompts to set your administrator password.

    How to Set Up the Wi-Fi Username & Password

    When making any changes to the wireless configuration, it is recommended to wait 30 seconds to 1 minute before making any other changes to your wireless network.

    Primary Wi-fi 

    This is the main, everyday wireless network.

    Updating the Username or Password

    1. Log into the Aria using http://192.168.0.1/
    2. Enter the admin username and password
    3. On the left-hand side select Wi-Fi
    4. On the left-hand side under Wi-Fi, select Primary Wi-fi
    5. Under the tab 2.4G/5G/6G edit the desired fields
    6. To update the Wi-Fi username edit the name found in the SSID field.
    7. To update the password edit the Password field.
    8. Select Save

    The following Networks are optional and not required to be configured.

    MLO Wi-Fi 

    This network is disabled by default. This network should only be used by newer Wi-Fi 7 compatible devices.

    1. Log into the Aria using http://192.168.0.1/
    2. Enter the admin username and password
    3. On the left hand side select Wi-Fi
    4. On the left hand side under Wi-Fi, select Primary Wi-fi
    5. Under the tab MLO Wi-Fi set the Enable Wi-Fi toggle to the on position.
    6. Edit the desired fields
    7. To update the Wi-Fi username edit the name found in the SSID field.
    8. To update the password edit the Password field.
    9. Select Save

    Additional Wi-fi

    2.4GHz Only

    This network is disabled by default. This Wi-Fi allows you to dedicate a specific Wi-Fi connection to the 2.4GHz band, primarily intended for Internet of Things (loT) devices. These devices, often requiring less bandwidth and requiring a wider range of 2.4GHz, can be connected to this network.

    1. Log into the Aria using http://192.168.0.1/
    2. Enter the admin username and password
    3. On the left hand side select Wi-Fi
    4. On the left hand side under Wi-Fi, select Additional Wi-fi
    5. Under the tab IoT set the Enable Wi-Fi toggle to the on position.
    6. Edit the desired fields
    7. To update the Wi-Fi username edit the name found in the SSID field.
    8. To update the password edit the Password field.
    9. Select Save

    5GHz Only

    This network is disabled by default. This Wi-Fi allows you to connect specific devices exclusively to the 5GHz Wi-Fi band. This is beneficial for applications requiring high bandwidth and low latency, such as high- definition video streaming, online gaming, and video conferencing, as it prevents these devices from automatically switching to the potentially slower and more congested 2.4GHz band.

    1. Log into the Aria using http://192.168.0.1/
    2. Enter the admin username and password
    3. On the left hand side select Wi-Fi
    4. On the left hand side under Wi-Fi, select Additional Wi-fi
    5. Under the tab Legacy set the Enable Wi-Fi toggle to the on position.
    6. Edit the desired fields
    7. To update the Wi-Fi username edit the name found in the SSID field.
    8. To update the password edit the Password field.
    9. Select Save

    How to Factory Reset

    Hold the reset button found on the back of the hardware for 10 seconds.

    This can also be done through the interface by navigating to Administrator Settings >> Device Reset >> Factory Reset.
