How to Set Up in Bridge Mode (to use a stand-alone router)
Note: Enabling bridge mode will disable the Wi-Fi interface and router functionality of the modem. Since most vendors are only provisioning one IP address, only one device can be connected at a time when in this mode (most typically a router), which is recommended to do so before switching into bridge mode.
Disconnect the coaxial cable from the Arris
Connect a device via an Ethernet cable to the 1st LAN port
Remove all other Ethernet cables to all other LAN ports
Access the modem's interface, then log into the administrator account.
In Gateway > Summary (which should be the default page after login in), locate Bridge Mode in this page, then select Enable.
After clicking Ok at the prompt, the modem will restart in Bridge mode.
