Introduction:
The Technicolor CGA4234DGW is a cable modem router combination unit that provides ethernet and wireless connectivity. Video Guide for set up can be seen here!

Routed mode (default): 192.168.0.1

Default User Credentials:
Username: Leave it blank
Password: Leave it blank
Wireless Network Details:
Unique; Locate "2.4Ghz/5Ghz SSID " and "Pre-shared Key" on the label located at the side of the modem.
The default SSID may start with the last 6 characters of the MAC address with the addition of the band (ex.: A1B2C3-2.4) and the pre-shared key would be the serial number in upper case.
How to Factory Reset:
With the modem powered on, press and hold the RESET button on the rear panel for more than 5 seconds before releasing it.
How to Set Up the WiFi Username & Password
Navigate to the modem's web interface. http://192.168.0.1/
Enter the administrative username and password in the Username and Password fields, then click Continue. This is blank by default.
Click Wireless
Click Radio
Enter the Network Name to your desired wireless network name under 2.4GHz Wireless Network
Enter the Network Name to your desired wireless network name under 5GHz Wireless Network
Click Save
Click Security at the top menu.
Enter the desired wireless password into the Network Password field under 2.4GHz Wireless Network
Enter the desired wireless password into the Network Password field under 5GHz Wireless Network
Click Save.
How to Set Up in Bridge Mode (to use a stand-alone router)
Remove all other Ethernet cables to all other LAN ports.
Connect a device via an Ethernet cable to the 1st LAN port.
Open a Web Browser and go to 192.168.0.1.
Click on the Connection tab.
Click on WAN tab.
Select Working Mode to Bridged Only.
Click Save.
How to Set Up for VPN Passthrough
Navigate to the modem's web interface. http://192.168.0.1/
Enter the administrative username and password in the Username and Password fields, then click Continue. This is blank by default.
Click Security
Click Firewall
Scroll down the page until you reach Advanced Settings
Toggle on IPSec Passthrough
Toggle on PPTP Passthrough
Click Save

How to obtain diagnostic details:
Navigate to the user interface. (192.168.0.1)
Enter the administrative username and password in the Username and Password fields, then click Continue.
Click on the Status tab.
Click on the DOCSIS Signal tab.
The power levels can be found under the Downstream Overview and Upstream Overview headers.
Click on the Status
Click on the DOCSIS Log tab.
The cable modem logs can be found under the Description header.
